Although vehicle manufacturers across the globe are developing an understanding of the emerging risks, they still have concerns and questions around security. For this reason, many automotive companies have been forging cyber security partnerships to make sure cars are safe from the increasing threats to which they are becoming exposed.

Automotive technology expert SBD and global information assurance firm NCC Group are the latest to announce a unique and strategic partnership to improve automotive cyber security. Automotive World spoke to Andy Davis, Research Director at NCC Group, regarding the recent partnership and how it will combine the expertise of both companies to help OEMs and suppliers to mitigate cyber security risks when developing connected cars. “The partnership combines the expertise of SBD in connected car architectures and automotive security with NCC Group’s expertise in cyber security testing,” Davis explained.
