The popularity of computer-aided engineering (CAE) has been growing across the automotive industry for years. OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers alike have found numerous benefits when using CAE during design and production processes, including cost reduction and efficiency improvements.

A number of powertrain engineers are confident that they can push the boundaries on vehicle fuel economy and slash emissions with the on-going help of CAE.
