Pick-up crash tests highlight frustrating safety shortfalls

Michael Nash looks into the ratings for eight different pick-ups after the IIHS carried out several tests

Recent crash tests carried out by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) show that four out of eight model year 2017 pick-ups have obtained good ratings for occupant protection. However, they all lack in advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and come equipped with poorly rated headlights.
