Having already broken the previous record for the number of cars recalled in a year, US car recalls are now on pace to reach the highest level in a decade this year, but many believe that it is not in the recalling of vehicles that is the problem. More prominently, the ineffective handling of those recalls seems to no longer be surprising to an industry which is becoming somewhat used to the news that an OEM has hidden a vital detail.
