NTSB urges further collision avoidance tech

The NTSB sees good progress in the rollout of collision avoidance technology as standard, but warns against complacency. By Xavier Boucherat

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has included the promotion of collision avoidance technologies on its 2016 most wanted list. Autonomous emergency braking (AEB), collision warning systems, lane departure warning systems and adaptive cruise control all have the potential to eliminate deaths on the road, says the US agency.
