According to a recent report released by Frost and Sullivan, the powertrain diversity of the Latin American (LATAM) passenger vehicle market is among the largest in the world, and is set to grow substantially over the next five years. Although gasoline-powered engines are expected to dominate the market by 2020 with a share of approximately 48%, there are certain regions that have intensified the adoption of a large variety of powertrains due to a number of different factors.
