Global automotive manufacturers enter into vehicle supply agreements with other OEMs for a variety of reasons. One of the main reasons is that such a move results in economies of scale for both parties involved. For the OEM which supplies the vehicle, it translates into much better capacity utilization, and for the OEM that rebadges a vehicle, it saves the cost of having to set up a production line.
