Martin Lundstedt has been Scania’s President and Chief Executive since 2012. He succeeded Leif Östling, who moved to Volkswagen’s board of management. Lundstedt’s key tasks at the head of the company have been to oversee the transition to Euro VI, where Scania made the strategic decision to take an early leadership position, offering Euro VI engines well ahead of the January 2014 implementation date; and to manage the increasing influence of its main shareholder, Volkswagen, which earlier this year assumed full control of the company.
