Industry gatherings put the spotlight on quality control

Individual OEM and supplier councils have highlighted the industry’s interest in making defects and recalls a thing of the past. By Freddie Holmes

With vehicle recalls in the US mounting over the last few years due to quality and safety issues, the industry is coming together to work things out.

On 24 and 25 of May 2016, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) US hosted the first Annual Automotive Safety Recall Best Practices Summit, which brought together 18 other OEMs to discuss how to improve the execution of recalls.
