After Indonesia, GM targets Thailand with restructuring measures

The continued decline of the Thai automotive market has forced GM to restructure its Thai operations, resulting in the end of production of certain models in the country and layoffs

Thailand's automotive market has been going through a slow phase for a while now. Last year, sales plummeted 33.7% compared with 2013 levels to 881,832 vehicles. The political situation in the country has had an adverse effect on new vehicle sales in the country, resulting in poor consumer confidence.
