India’s growth poses public health concerns

Concerns surround the considerable growth that is forecast for India's automotive market, as harmful pollutants could pose serious health issues

According to a recent study carried out by Deloitte, India will become the third largest automotive market in the world by 2020, and will be driven predominately by domestic sales. But this growth could have a significant impact on public health, unless the country takes measures to prevent the uptake of vehicles that emit high levels of pollutants.
