For GM, scale is key to achieving autonomous targets

GM has become the first vehicle manufacturer to build self-driving vehicles in a mass production assembly as it celebrates the launch of 130 autonomous Bolt EVs. By Megan Lampinen

General Motors isn't just testing the autonomous waters, it's making waves in them. Back in December the OEM announced that its Orion plant in Michigan would be building a fleet of autonomous drive Chevrolet Bolt EVs for testing. Production kicked off in January and on 13 June it held a ceremony to mark their completion.
