Ford: focusing on its home market and challenges

Ford isn’t out of options or ideas for Europe and Asia, but the North American market is increasingly becoming its primary focus. By Ian Henry

In 2023 and 2024, Ford sold slightly more than 3.4 million cars and light commercial vehicles (LCVs) worldwide, having produced around 3.8 million units during that same period. Once a global player, it is now focused on North America, with its European and Asian operations significantly reduced in recent years.
