Ferrari’s latest merchandising efforts see it taking further steps down the fun park path. It has announced plans to open the Ferrari Land amusement park near Barcelona, Spain in 2016. The 75,000sq-m park will include the usual round of rides, restaurants and a hotel. All of this takes money, and a lot of it. The Italian sports brand is investing a hefty €100m (US$139m) in the venture, so the expected payout must be pretty big itself.
