ACEA registration data for September has been published and, notwithstanding the expected sequential improvement following on from the August holiday month, it remains positive.
Total medium and heavy duty registrations for the EU 28 and EFTA markets rose 16.4% year-on-year to 31,351 units from the 26,940 units recorded in September 2014, with an overall registration rate of 112% of the long-term ten-year average. Overall, the registration rate for heavy duty trucks was above 100% at 124.9%. Light duty at 126.1% was similarly positive, while the medium duty segment continues to lag the average, with a registration rate of 77.6%.
