Bridging the gap for drivers pre- and post-journey

The future of car infotainment is likely to be multiplatform, with built-in, brought-in and beamed-in all playing a part in automotive applications

With increasing consumer reliance on smartphones, automotive companies have an opportunity to develop software that helps to bridge the gap between infotainment used in cars and the applications that drivers use before and after their journeys.

The latest OEM working towards this is Hyundai with its Genesis Intelligent Assistant app, which aims to save drivers time and provide convenience by linking to their daily schedule.
