Bridgestone strives for stable natural rubber supply by 2050

The supplier has taken an important step towards its 2050 goal for sustainable production, writes Michael Nash

The outlook for the global car market is positive, with many experts predicting continuous growth. A recent Automotive World report suggests light-duty vehicle demand will increase by approximately 4% in 2016 to 88 million units.

Tyre suppliers believe there will be a rise in demand for their products as a direct result. To take advantage of this growth, some are examining new ways to increase the efficiency and sustainability of tyre production.
