Brazil’s HD market – a victim of economic crisis and the end of cheap financing

For the first time since 2007, full-year heavy duty truck sales in Brazil will be below 100,000 upa. By Pedro Kutney

After a lengthy period of prosperity, a period which included an all-time peak of nearly 173,000 units sold in 2011, Brazil’s heavy duty (HD) truck market was widely expected to hit 200,000 upa by the end of the decade.
