Chery’s decision to bring forward by two months the official inauguration of its first fully operational plant outside China will ensure it is the first Chinese OEM to open a factory in Brazil. The event, which took place in Jacarei, in the State of São Paulo, Brazil’s most industrialised state, was well-attended by high ranking officials, including Brazil’s Vice President, Michel Temer.
