While the Indian passenger car market has been witnessing a prolonged decline in sales, the country's commercial vehicle market has fared worse. The growth or decline of a country's commercial vehicle sector normally reflects on freight movement in the country, and thereby the state of the economy. India's economy has been very sluggish, although the coming change in government may change that.
