Another short-term patch for US highway funding

The US transport industry is starting to get tetchy as a long-term solution to the Highway Trust Fund proves elusive

With the chance to hammer out a long-term solution for US highway funding slipping away, lawmakers are settling for a two-month patch to the Highway Trust Fund. The fund receives money from fuel tax and supports transportation projects across the country. However, it is about to expire and a long-term agreement on future funding remains elusive.
