Additive manufacturers will need to take a hybrid approach, says supplier

Additive manufacturing techniques such as 3D printing have played an important prototyping role in the automotive industry for more than 25 years. During this time there have been advances in the field – printing times have been cut, part sizes have increased, and printers can now work with a variety of materials including metal.
