The US-based PHEV van start-up Emerald Automotive’s chief executive officer, British automotive industry veteran Andy Tempest, has told CBS St Louis, Missouri, that he is still planning to begin production in 2014 of the start-up’s t-001 diesel/electric plug-in hybrid delivery van. The project could eventually employ 2,000 people, Tempest said.
