Volkswagen chief executive officer, Martin Winterkorn, has suggested the company could go it alone in India after its intended partner in the country, Suzuki, indicated it wishes to abandon its alliance and equity cross shareholdings with the German OEM.
Reuters quoted Winterkorn as saying at an event associated with the 2011 IAA:
