Suzuki's Indian subsidiary Maruti Suzuki India became the first OEM in Indian automotive history to sell more than one million vehicles in a fiscal year. The OEM posted sales of 1,018,365 vehicles in the April 2009-March 2010 period, up 29% from 792,167 units sold in the previous fiscal year.
