Are security issues slowing process on connectivity?

Half of the British population are worried about who will have access to their information should telematics become more common in vehicles - but it's not just the UK that has issues

Half of the British population are worried about who will have access to their information should telematics become more common in vehicles, and 35% stated that they were apprehensive about driverless cars, which as from this year, will be permitted on Britain’s roads.

These are the findings of Ford dealer group TrustFord, which has released research examining British motorists’ attitudes to the role of vehicle technology and the technologies about which they’re most excited. The research found that remote parking and Wi-Fi were the top two ‘game-changing’ technologies that drivers would like to see on Britain’s roads in the coming months. These were followed by remote driving (18%), augmented reality dashboards (16%), which will offer better driving dynamics, and a permanent phone signal (15%) for clearer communication.
