The Brazilian truck market was once a shining example of simplicity. Back in 2008-9, pretty much every OEM posted balance sheets that reflected a simultaneous crashing to earth of every major market - with the exception of Brazil. It saved the day and spared the blushes in many a boardroom as a pre-buy ahead of the adoption of the SCR-based Proconve 7 emission standard ensured that the market was positive.
