AlixPartners speaks to Megan Lampinen about some of the factors behind the growing number of vehicle recalls

Recent studies point to improvements in overall vehicle reliability and owner satisfaction, but recall rates remain a serious concern. In the US alone, vehicle manufacturers issued around 300 recalls in 2016, covering 30 million vehicles. That represents about 20% of the US car parc, according to AlixPartners’ estimates, and makes 2016 a record year both for the number of notices issued and the number of vehicles involved….
