Auto supplier First Brands files for Chapter 11 bankruptcy

First Brands Group (FBG) has initiated voluntary Chapter 11 proceedings for its US operations, with a 29 September 2025 press release explaining that this is necessary to "stabilise [its] financial position." The company's well-known aftermarket auto component brands include Raybestos brakes, Anco wiper blades, and Fram oil and air filters.
