Crash data to help India’s effort towards ‘uncompromising’ safety

Safety has traditionally been low on the priority list of shoppers in India, but perhaps not for long. By Megan Lampinen

Safety has never been a top priority for Indian car shoppers, as is evident from the country's road casualty statistics. Around 146,000 people die every year on India's roads, with 2.6 million serious injuries. Companies like Global NCAP and the Institute of Road Traffic Education are working to address that.
