VW Group aims for 90% reduction in PM emissions

Michael Nash takes a closer look at VW’s plans for emissions reduction in its diesel and gasoline engines

The Volkswagen Group has been through a rocky ride since September 2015, and negotiations between the company and US authorities surrounding recalls of diesel models are ongoing. Executives have outlined numerous plans to cut emissions during several recent press conferences, with electrification set to play a big role in VW’s future portfolio.

The OEM also hopes to significantly reduce emissions from its internal combustion engines (ICEs) by adopting a number of technologies, both new and established.
