Falling road deaths highlight increasing safety disparities between countries

Road safety in many countries is on the rise, thanks to increasing crash and road safety standards. However, a recent study from IRTAD – the permanent working group on road safety at the International Transport Forum (ITF) - has found that while there has been a 42% drop in road deaths in IRTAD countries since 2000, strong disparities still exist between countries.
