Turkish auto industry in turmoil due to labour disputes

Labour issues which started at Renault's local JV have spread to Tofas and Ford, as well as to suppliers in the region

French vehicle manufacturer Renault operates a vehicle manufacturing joint venture in Turkey with Oyak, the country's biggest privately-owned pension fund. The JV operates a facility located in Bursa, in which Renault holds a 51% stake. The plant can also produce gasoline and diesel engines, and manual gearboxes.
