Lighting expert HELLA presents an innovative LED reversing spotlamp for trailers for the first time at Automechanika. It has been designed specifically to take into account the risks arising when maneuvering and reversing. Particularly dangerous areas beside and behind the trailer are optimally illuminated using a special lens system when the LED reversing spotlight is installed, as normal, in the underride protection bar holder or in the lamp plate at a height of 800 mm. This allows HELLA’s reversing spotlamp to achieve considerably better illumination to alternative conventional headlamps. On top of this, the housing of the innovative product has not been manufactured using conventional aluminum. Instead, the housing for the version of the spotlight with one LED is made of polycarbonate and the version with three LEDs is made of a new type of plastic composite that has a heat conductivity level similar to that of aluminum. Thanks to the new materials, the outer coating of the LED reversing spotlamp cannot be damaged or come loose, making the product completely corrosion-resistant. In addition, the spotlight is very robust, thanks to an impact-resistant outer lens made of grylamit. Compared with other products available on the market, which usually only have one attachment position, the spotlamp can be installed in three different positions: standing, handing or backwards. A short-circuiting fuse is also integrated. Plus, the product is fully sealed and therefore water, steam jet and dust-resistant.
