A new family of small three-cylinder gasoline engines will reduce PSA Peugeot Citroën’s traditional dependence on diesels in its European heartland and boost overall sales for a company which has suffered more than most in the region’s economic troubles. At the same, the engines mark the end of the collaboration with BMW Group which has been in force for seven years.
