US: Nissan starts build for Merc engine unit at Decherd

Nissan has broken ground on a new engine production facility at its Decherd powertrain assembly complex in Tennessee. The new facility will make Mercedes-Benz 4-cylinder engines for Infiniti and Mercedes-Benz models, with production to start in 2014. The operation will have capacity to build 250,000 engines a year.
