PSA Group is the 1st carmaker to obtain the French authorisations to carry out autonomous mode experimentations with non-experts drivers.
Tests start from March 2017 with customers behind the wheel of the Group’s autonomous cars.
This new step is a significant move forward for the development of the autonomous cars technology of PSA Group.
The demonstrators with non-experts drivers can travel on about 2 000 kilometres of French express roads.
Since July 2015, PSA prototypes driven by experts drivers have already done 120 000 kilometres on European express roads.
From 2020, some vehicles of the Group will benefit from autonomous driving features enabling the driver to give the car full control.
