Roger Deckers CEO & Director, Deckers Mobility Consulting, has been confirmed a a speaker in the Pedestrian Safety session at Automotive Megatrends Europe ’13, which takes place on 13 November 2013.
As of September 2013 Roger will be Director and CEO of Deckers Mobility Consulting, where he will advise on strategy, market and technology analysis and project management within the international automotive industry, energy industry, governmental programs, engineering and supplier domains.
Prior to setting-up his own consulting service Roger was Vice President Powertrain Innovation, Environment and Customer Specification Division at Renault.
Here he was responsible for the definition and development of innovative powertrain technology bricks and engine, transmission and hybrid powertrain Advanced projects in close cooperation with strategy, product planning and strategy partners.
Before joining Renault he had many high-profile industry roles including; Managing Director for the Automotive Technology Centre; Director of the Technology Board for Siemens VDO Automotive/Continental Automotive AG; General Manager Powertrain R&D for PSA Peugeot Citroen; General Manager NedCar Technology and Project Director ACCESS; Business and Project Director FEV as well as R&D Engine Specialist for BMW.
From 2010 – 2012 he was President of the GSM – Groupe Scientifique Moteurs France, and from 2008 – 2009 Chairman of Board of IVDM in the Netherlands.
He has a Mechanical Engineering MSc from the Institute for Applied Thermodynamics Prof. F. Pischinger, and a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering from RWTH Aachen.
After a profound education as a mechanical engineer with a clear dedication to passenger car powertrains Roger’s career has been typified by highly complex projects, organisations and partnerships in an international challenging environment.
