Power Systems Research (PSR), an international research firm with nearly 40 years of experience in global engine and equipment markets, today announced the official opening of Power Systems Research (Beijing) Co., Ltd., its wholly foreign-owned enterprise (WFOE) located in Beijing’s World Trade Center.

PSR is the world’s leading source of data, analysis and forecasting of global engine and engine-powered vehicle and equipment production. PSR’s scope includes diesel, gasoline, natural gas and electric-powered equipment, as well as their engines, drivetrains and related components.

“Opening an office in Beijing is a key element in growing our presence in China, and expanding our presence in Japan, Korea, and ultimately Southeast Asia,” explains Dennis Huibregtse, Interim CEO of Power Systems Research.

“This expansion enables us to build upon the foundation we have established over more than seven years of successful research work in China,” notes Huibregtse. “At the same time, it brings together the resources we need to continue to be successful in this growing market.”

PSR also operates offices in Detroit; Brussels; Tokyo; Moscow; Pune, India; Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and Campinas, Brazil.

“The Beijing office is a vehicle to expand our research and project staff, and allows us to provide real time services to our local customers, including the China branches of our international clients,” says Erik Martin, Director – Asia Region.

“And, now that we are open for business, we can start processing transactions in renminbi (RMB). This enhanced presence assures that we can provide all of our global clients with better-than-ever production and market information about China’s expanding power industry.”

Martin joined PSR last year to lead the company’s growth initiative in Asia.
