In recent years, the MAHLE Group has seen a highly dynamic development. Through the effective networking of the different business segments, MAHLE will create new synergy effects and greatly contribute to sustainable mobility with integrated systems solutions.

The dynamic of the last years is not only reflected in the business figures, but also in the considerably expanded technological diversity. For MAHLE, “clean air” involves both the treatment of air for the comfort and health of the occupants as well as vehicle emissions. “Fuel efficiency” and “driving pleasure” are values that shape the research and development activities of MAHLE today.

The latest acquisitions of Letrika and Kokusan Denki will contribute to this and will significantly strengthen MAHLE’s position in the area of electrification. Furthermore, the completed acquisition of Delphi Thermal in July 2015 makes MAHLE the second-largest provider of thermal management solutions for the automotive industry worldwide. MAHLE thereby extends its activities in two business segments that will play a key role in the future vehicle technology.

After the successful expansion of the group, the networking of the existing and added divisions is now the focal point. The in-depth knowledge and experiences of the individual divisions are a valuable resource in order to develop comprehensive system solutions together. The first products that prove the successful intermeshing of competencies at MAHLE are already available today, such as the charge air subcooling iCAS. For the first time, the engine cooling and the refrigerant circuit of the air conditioning are connected, and its derivation requires extensive engine expertise.

By the end of 2015, MAHLE will have around 75,000 employees at 170 locations worldwide. At 16 major development locations, more than 5,000 development engineers and technicians are working at full speed on future-oriented solutions. Thanks to the intensification of networking and the systematic expansion of the portfolio, MAHLE will continue to meet market demands efficiently and set important technological trends.
