Magna International Inc. announced that a Cosma International manufacturing division in Ibirité, Brazil, has received a Fiat Qualitas Award for achievements in quality, innovation, competitiveness and service. Fiat presented the award to Cosma at a ceremony in Belo Horizonte, Brazil.
“We’re honored Fiat recognized the hard work and commitment to world class manufacturing principles of the men and women at our Ibirité facility,” said Cassiano Corazzari, Vice President, Cosma do Brazil. “This recognition reflects our goal of delivering superior value to our customers in South America and around the world.”
Fiat recognized 26 suppliers in seven categories for providing high-quality products and exceptional service that helped the Italian automaker strengthen its position as the leading car and light truck manufacturer in Brazil. Cosma was recognized in the “Metal Materials and Powertrain” category.
Cosma’s Ibirité facility employs approximately 150 people and manufactures chassis structure assemblies for Fiat.
