The Supervisory Board of MAN SE has appointed Dr. Uwe Lauber, CEO of MAN Diesel & Turbo SE, to the Executive Board of MAN SE with effect from March 1, 2017. “I am delighted that in Dr. Lauber, we have been able to appoint a proven authority on MAN Diesel & Turbo’s complex operations to the MAN SE Executive Board,” says Andreas Renschler, Chairman of the MAN SE Supervisory Board, the Volkswagen AG Board of Management member responsible for Commercial Vehicles, and CEO of the Volkswagen Truck & Bus Holding Group. Joachim Drees, Chief Executive Officer of MAN SE and MAN Truck & Bus AG, adds: “Dr. Lauber is a colleague with much expertise and experience who is universally held in high esteem. He will specifically contribute and represent MAN Diesel & Turbo’s activities on the MAN SE Executive Board.”
Dr. Lauber studied industrial engineering and also holds a doctorate in mechanical engineering. Following various stops in his career, he joined Sulzer Turbo in 2000 – now MAN Diesel & Turbo. Until 2010, he was responsible for design, research & development as well as the testing of compressors. In December 2010, he became Head of the Oil & Gas business unit. Dr. Lauber has been a member of the MAN Diesel & Turbo SE Executive Board since October 2014 and its Chairman since January 2015. The 49-year-old is married with two children.
