Honda sets all-time fiscal year records for automobile production worldwide, overseas, in North America, Asia, and China

Production in Japan experienced a year-on-year decrease for the second consecutive year (since Fiscal Year 2015).

Production in regions outside of Japan experienced a year-on-year increase for the fourth consecutive year (since Fiscal Year 2013), setting an all-time record for fiscal year production. This includes all-time records for fiscal year production in North America, Asia, and China.

Worldwide production experienced a year-on-year increase for the fourth consecutive year (since Fiscal Year 2013), setting an all-time record for fiscal year production.

March 2016
Production in Japan for the month of March 2016 experienced a year-on-year increase for the third consecutive month (since January 2016).

Production in regions outside of Japan experienced a year-on-year increase for the 13th consecutive month (since March 2015), setting record high production for the month of March. This includes record high production in Asia, and China.

Worldwide production experienced a year-on-year increase for the 10th consecutive month (since June 2015), also setting record high production for the month of March.

Fit was the industry’s third best-selling car among new vehicle registrations for the fiscal year 2016 with sales of 112,007 units. VEZEL was the industry’s ninth best-selling car with sales of 69,018 units.

<Mini-vehicles – under 660cc>
N-BOX was the industry’s top selling car among mini-vehicles for the fiscal year 2016 with sales of 172,617 units. N-WGN was the industry’s eighth best-selling car with sales of 84,268 units.

March 2016
Total domestic automobile sales in the Japanese market for the month of March 2016 experienced a year-on-year decrease for the fourth consecutive month (since December 2015).

New vehicle registrations experienced a year-on-year increase for the second consecutive month (since February 2016).

Sales of mini-vehicles experienced a year-on-year decrease for the 17th consecutive month (since November 2014).

Fit was the industry’s third best-selling car among new vehicle registrations for the month of March 2016 with sales of 15,545 units. VEZEL was the industry’s ninth best-selling car with sales of 8,969 units.

<Mini-vehicles – under 660cc>
N-BOX was the industry’s top-selling car in the mini-vehicle category for the month of March 2016 with sales of 25,542 units. N-WGN was the industry’s fifth best-selling car with sales of 12,737 units.
