Brasilia Seminar hosted by Global NCAP, the International Transport Forum and the International Road Assessment Programme
David Ward, Secretary General of Global NCAP, Jose Viegas, Secretary General of the International Transport Forum, and Rob McInerney, Secretary General of iRAP will host a special seminar for delegates to the 2nd Global High Level Conference on Road Safety in Brasilia from 14h30 on November 17. The seminar will discuss how Safe System injury prevention principles and policies can help to meet the United Nation’s new road safety commitments in the Global Goals for Sustainable Development.
His Royal Highness Prince Michael of Kent will be the guest of honour and the distinguished speakers include Ministers responsible for Road Safety from Australia, Jamaica and Luxembourg, senior officials from the World Health Organisation and the World Bank, together with other leading road safety experts and stakeholders.
The seminar will consider how a holistic and integrated framework of Safe System policies aimed at promoting safer roads, road users and vehicles can achieve significant reductions in road deaths and injuries.
