Gary Skipper, Global Product Engineering Manager, Oerlikon Friction Systems, has been confirmed as a speaker in the Powertrain Innovation track at Automotive Megatrends India 2015
Skipper joined Sulzer Friction Systems (now Oerlikon Friction Systems) in 2010, as part of the acquisition of the BorgWarner synchroniser group, as Technical Integration Manger. He has been in his current position since 2011 and has been responsible for the opening of the UK engineering centre which provides design/development engineering, project management and production planning support across the Friction Systems group. Recently his team has been focusing on supporting the rapidly growing Asian markets with a large focus on India.
Skipper started his career with BorgWarner in 1991, initially working in the R&D department, and then progressed to Global Manager of Synchroniser Engineering and subsequently to Director of Engineering Synchroniser Systems.
Automotive Megatrends India is a two-day, multiple-track conference focusing on commercial vehicles and passenger cars. The panel on day two will cover the key megatrends which look set to shape the country’s passenger car industry over the next ten years and beyond.
