October 31, 2015 was a different day to Chery. That day Chery’s showroom opened with new image in Karaji, Iran. He Xiaoqing, vice president of Chery Automobile Co., Ltd. and president of Chery International and Zhang Guibing, Vice President of Chery International and general manager of Chery MVM witnessed the opening of the showroom along with nearly 300 attendees, including Chery’s local partners, Iran’s mainstream media and Chery’s loyal customers.
At the opening ceremony, He and Zhang cut the ribbon and announced the price of Tiggo 5, Chery’s first model in Iran. “With the conclusion of the agreement on the nuclear issue of Iran, the Iranian auto market will gradually be revitalized, and consumer demands will become higher and diversified. To meet different consumers’ demands, we have decided to introduce Chery on the basis of MVM. Iran plays a significant role in Chery’s globalization. In the future, Chery will further increase its input in Iran to provide better products and services to Iranian consumers”, He said. “Tiggo5 launched today was designed and manufactured based on Chery’s latest technologies. Also, we are the first auto company in Iran to provide our customers the guarantee period that lasts 5 years or 150 thousand kilometers, which reveals our great confidence in our products. I believe the Tiggo5 will be the best choice for Iranian consumers in the SUV segment”, Zhang said.
Chery entered Iran in 2004 and has sold MVM-branded products since 2009 in the form of JV company. MVM has so far owned nearly 150 sales service outlets in Iran, with a cumulative sales volume of nearly 180,000 units.
With the opening of the brand new showroom and the launch of new Tiggo5, Chery’s MVM JV company will start a new journey with brand new features.
