Ben Schlimme, Executive Project Manager of Advanced Planning & Research – Powertrain (APR), Toyota Technical Center has been confirmed as a speaker at Fuel Economy Detroit.
Ben Schlimme is the Executive Program Manager of Toyota’s Advanced Planning & Research Department (APR) at Toyota Technical Center (TTC), a division of Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing, North America, Inc. (TEMA).
Mr. Schlimme’s responsibilities include development of Toyota’s North American powertrain strategy,as well as overseeing their powertrain research and benchmarking.
Mr. Schlimme began his career at Toyota in 1991, joining Toyota Motor Sales where he held positions in Finance, Lexus Certified Used Car Program, and Product Planning. In 1997 Mr. Schlimme joined Toyota Technical Center supporting development of the first V8 truck engine.In 2003 he was promoted to lead powertrain planning.
