Nissan’s all-new KICKS e-POWER has received the highest safety evaluation level, confirmed through the recent five-star ASEAN NCAP rating

Nissan’s all-new KICKS e-POWER has received the highest safety evaluation level, confirmed through the recent five-star ASEAN NCAP rating. The accolade has been awarded by independent testing body New Car Assessment Program for Southeast Asian Countries (ASEAN NCAP) and reinforces Nissan’s commitment to safety.

The vehicle has received five stars on each testing protocol: Adult Occupant Protection (AOP), Child Occupant Protection (COP), and Safety Assist Technologies (SAT).

“The safety of drivers and their passengers is our highest priority. Nissan uses a comprehensive approach to safety that guides the engineering and development of every vehicle. Obtaining the highest safety rating for the all-new Nissan Kicks e-POWER is a proud testament to our long-standing commitment to creating a ‘zero fatality’ society,” said Ramesh Narasimhan, president of Nissan in Thailand.

Produced in Thailand, the Japanese carmaker launched the all-new Nissan Kicks e-POWER first globally in Thailand followed by Japan, Indonesia and Singapore. The innovative technology e-POWER is a Nissan invention that delivers an electric car driving experience, without the need to charge.

360-degree approach to safety
The all-new Nissan Kicks e-POWER offers a suite of Advanced Drivers’ Assistance Systems (ADAS). This includes Intelligent Driver Alertness (IDA), which helps detect driver fatigue and alerts the driver when erratic driving occurs.

Other Nissan Intelligent Mobility features include Blind Spot Warning (BSW), Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC), Intelligent Emergency Braking (IEB), Intelligent Forward Collision Warning (IFCW) and an Electronic Parking Brake with Auto Hold. Six SRS airbags and enhanced body rigidity further improve safety.

The all-new Nissan Kicks e-POWER is also equipped with Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC), Hill Start Assist (HSA), an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and Nissan’s Intelligent Trace Control (ITC) to provide a higher level of driving enjoyment.
