US dealers optimistic, despite growing economic concerns

The economy and product availability are dominating US dealer concerns, but optimism remains high

Despite rough winter weather and a port dispute on the West Coast, the attitude among US dealers remains positive. In the latest Dealer Survey from RBC Capital Markets, 53% of respondents said they were "somewhat/significantly more optimistic" about the coming six months, compared to 50% the previous month. The biggest change, however, is in those with the greatest optimism. About 16% of dealers surveyed said they were "significantly more optimistic", up from 14% in February and just 3% in January.
