University partnership tackles sustainable lightweighting

One of the major challenges facing the automotive industry is the growing pressure on OEMs to develop more efficient vehicles.  Many believe that increasing collaboration and sharing expertise within the industry and throughout the automotive supply chain is key in tackling this challenge.

To this end, Mexican suspension and brake supplier Rassini has partnered with the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) to advance the use of composite materials in vehicle design.
